				 | What are they doin North of the border to drive all these seals down here cause it seems to be working. We should try something and return the favor.
I bet the herrin run will be fun with a seal in it.
I can already see the signs posted that due to the presence of the seal there will no access or taking of herring so as not to disturb the seal or deplenish its food source.

				 | That is not the first time that has happened. Last time I heard of it was a few years ago wth an adult seal in the Bridgewater area. I am sure it happens more often than we see also. Paul |

I found one of them last weekend laying on the beach at one of my favorite spots on the north shore of mass. It looked like it was dying or at least not doing well since it let me get less than 2’ away from it and just sat there yawning and stretching and looking at me. I called the aquarium because as much as I hate seals being in the area, I’m not cold enough to watch a young one suffer. They told me that it was a harp seal and that its not uncommon for them to stop and sleep on the beaches during their migration and that they are not very afraid of people. It was about the size of that one. |

Even seals have perimeters! Hey nutbag you outbid me on Ebay a few weeks ago. I may have to break in and steal it. Don't worry, I'll leave the boat alone and leave a 6 pack for your troubles.

 Herb Baby Seal
 4, 4 ounce baby seals
 2 minced garlic cloves
1 teaspoon dried leaf rosemary, crushed
 pepper to taste

 Preheat broiler.
 Trim any fat from seal.
Mix garlic with rosemary and rub onto seal.
 Season with pepper.
Broil seal 3 inches from heat source 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
Baby seal is best when served pink, but it can be served well done.
 Makes 4 servings.
