		| If I have a few items I use em. How do they differ from an ATM? | Tellers don't work past 5pm generally. Thats was the original idea of them, off hour banking... But I see your point, I was'nt old enough to understand the impact of them at the time they came out, but I can now see the impact of the self check registers. |

				 | I don't use the self checkout mainly because I am anal about bagging my stuff myself and use both paper and plastic bags. The self check only has plastic. |

				 | I hate those stupid machines. I just don't understand the rationale for them, except the bottom line. You bring business to the store, and they say thank you by making you do all the work yourself? What a sham. They are not a convenience but a hindrance because they take longer than going through a cashier line and there are always problems with them. |

				 | I used to think the same thing about self-serv gas stations when they were first becoming popular. Look how used to them we've become. Scary. |

				 | Pretty soon we're going to be without cashiers completely...
Simply grab an item and walk out the door through a scanner and your account will be debited...

				 | I love 'em, and I love ATM's and I love EZ Pass toll collections - three fewer idiots I need to deal with on a daily basis . . . "Here is your sign - goodbye." Now if Dunkin's could figger it out I'd never need to talk to anyone . . . |
