My Winter Projects
Well, it's been awhile since I posted any work. Since I don't own a lathe, my first attempts last year were NJ Tackle kits and a couple Salty blanks which I finished. Both caught me fish last year!
Over the winter months this past year, I acquired a couple needle blanks from the Habs guy (txs John). I thru drilled with the help of a friend (Diggin Jiggin) and finished the rest by myself with Rattle Cans. Just need to add hardware and epoxy.
All have a pearl belly, two with hunter green on top splashed with pearl green, one with silver, green and black top and large one with black top splashed with silver pearl.

I've also come a long way with my first solo attempts. All three are topwater, two are squid poppers and one is a small popper. All were sanded from blanks (remember, no lathe), thru drilled, etc.... Hard to believe but these have been in progress for 1.5 years, yikes.
Two squid poppers are about 5.5 inches long - silver metallic bellys, soft pink sides and hot pink tops.
Small popper is about 2.25 inches long - silver metallic belly, black top with yellow stripes.

Very Nice
They look alive.... you could even leave the eyes off the large Black silver pearl and still catch fish... Thanks for the pics!

I like the black yeller one..... I'm a big fan of a shallow cupped mouth like that one has. I bet it wiggles along at a slow retrieve like the super strikes and striper swipers do.
