Did you return the west branch "brown" waders and are they going to replace with the same type, that is to say the "brown" ?
Well as you may know the west branch is now taupe color and if they no longer have your size in brown color then llbean will charge you the difference from the sale purchase price and the price of the taupe color which is about $64.00.
I exchanged mine for a better size and llbean wanted to charge me the difference. I asked them to send back my waders of which I'm OK with the size. I will just wait until they spring a leak if they do.

I most certainly don't want to bash LL Bean here because I think overall their products are great and their customer service is the best, but last spring I bought a pair of their Gore Tex "Wicked Tough" waders and I am now on my 3rd pair. The first 2 pairs both leaked last year at the wader/neoprene foot seam (the first pair leaked after a few months, and the second basically leaked out of the box).
They replaced both pairs no questions asked via 2-day mail last year. Except for that issue the waders are great, very comfortable, etc. If they leak again I'll just get another pair.
An interesting note is that as of 2003/2004, starting with these "Wicked Tough" waders, LL Bean no longer makes these waders in the USA. They are made overseas. That explained the drop in price from their old Gore Tex waders (the Kevlar ones) to these "Wicked Tough" ones. It probably also explains the leaking problems.
I think only Simms is left of the major wader-companies making waders in the USA.

The link failed on me but if these are the West Branch Beathables I bought them on sale some time ago for $129 I think - Boot foot, Felt sole and comfortable - These were an editor's choice item in "On The Water" Magazine.

How's this for a deal.... My wife works seasonal durng the winter a Beans which means 40% discount of fighing stuff....... The catch the items on sale is you get the lower price...... No problem I just have her buy me some gift certificates at 30% off and I buy them at the $129 sale... So they cost me around $100...... and I get the Bean warantee.

they're still available, just go to their site and go to the sale area or go to the area where the waders are and select the west branch sale waders.

I stand corrected, they must have changed it in the last month. But they do still have them. Both codes will take you to them.

Anyone have any issues with these waders??
I was in the surf this weekend using these waders and they filled up with water. They did not leak but the water got inbetween the inner layer and outer layer of the waders and I had a hard timne in the surf. I was able to get out of the surf and when I did the water exited from the area between the boot and the material.
I called LL Bean and the tech told me that this is normal and to keep my waders hiked up as they do fill up when the waders are not all the way up.
Anyoine notice this??

My only complaint is that they are a little shoter than I expected; they pull around the knees when I'm climbing rocks.
No problems with water getting inside (that I've noticed so far).
