We have a lot of those in LI Sound, especially near the power plants.
Very strong little buggers - would not want to get pinced by those claws.

boil them and they turn purplish, scared the hell out of me when i first tried them in hong kong. they taste like a crawdad but don't have a freshwater aftertaste. great treat. found a hand full of those aliens in my lobo traps, that was the second i saw them since asia. anyone know how to catch these little critters???

We find them all the time when we're digging for steamer clams. Have to be very careful with them, they can give you a wicked bite. I've never tried eating them, now you have me thinking?
