She's having the gates to the beach and jetty locked at 8 pm you can park at the peir and walk in but the point is that it's BS. She comes from an urban park where you would not want to walk at night and thinks she can do the same down here. Its called public property with no public access. Living on the coast like I do and constantly being shut out of more and more coast line it rubs me the wrong way when I can't access "public " property.

O.K.
Just so I know what the problem is. I agree with being shut out. What are they going to do give keys to the campers to open and close the gates? Doubt it.

From what I understand, they've hired two young guys to man the gatehouse from 8 PM until whatever time it re-opens in the AM. Campers probably receive some sort of receipt when they check in. If they leave after the gate closes, they'll probably have to stop and show their registration receipt and the gate will be swung open for them.

The gate does not impede the campers from coming and going to the campgrounds - fork at the end of the road.
Go right- to the camp area.
Go straight - to Scusset Beach .
The gate is accross the entrance to the Scusset beach parking lot.
