I'm not looking for a fishing coach. But I don't expect anyone to deliberately go out of their way to lie and sabotoge my night, either.
Why couldn't Eben have just gone to another spot? Every time a newbie like me asks for advive, you old-timers always say "hey, go learn on your own, learning new spots and trying them out is part of the fun". So why didn't he do that? He had to lie to them to get rid of them? That doesn't seem indicative of the work ethic you experts are always bragging about.
