Yup, it's us on the cover

- but I haven't got my copies yet - can't wait to see the magazine, although I've already seen the cover layout.
Got a call from Pete Brown, the editor of
Striped Bass Magazine a couple of months ago after meeting some of the staff at April's RISAA show - he was interested in using some of our images and curious about the history behind them. Although Pete and I haven't yet met personally, he's a helluva nice guy and producing a great mag devoted
entirely to striped bass.
They're out of Florence, SC but they've been covering stripers throughout their range, both fresh and salt. If you guys get a chance, check it out, it's a good read - they've had articles by well known names (to us in New England) like Tim Coleman, Jim White and an excellent young writer, Joe Lyons - well, younger than me, anyway
The most interesting thing about
Striped Bass for me is taking a look at different techniques and observations from other fishermen around the country.
And if you go to their site, I think you'll also begin to realize the importance that other states place on their recreational striped bass fishery and the money and effort they spend on it - it's pretty amazing.
Anyway, thanks for the kind words, you guys

And yeah, Vic, I'd be happy to autograph the cover - just so long as you don't mind if I sign it in eel
