Nightfighter,
There is no exact sience to putting a teaser rig together. The whole object is to make the lure look like it is chasing the fly, so it will put the fish into striking mode. Everybody has their own preference to how they may want to put one together and how long they might want it to be.

We have a standard method which works best for us, we use terminal tackle, we don't tie the knot from the fly line onto the main line, so that you won't break the whole rig apart if 2 large fish hit it at the same time.

We use strickly Seagar flourocarbon, 30 # test. Berkley snaps and barrels and some really pretty flies!!!! LOL Always remember that you want that lure to look like it is chasing the fly. Don't change the action of the lure because you are using a teaser rig, keep the action the same as you would if you didn't have the rig on. And then hold on, because you never know what might hit your line.

SPecialist, glad the wife had a great time, you better get stocked up now that you will be fishing as a team. She looks hooked to me!!!.

We will have the teasers at the club for sale if anybody needs some.
