I'm on the fence if Rap should even be considered singing, but here’s my entry, a remake of an old favorite. Now what’s crazy about it is the song has the potential to set the stage for a new TV series about the weekly travails of a bunch of grizzled surfpunchers plying the New England coastal tides for “cows”. Starring Clint Eastwood as Surf “Howdy” Yates, Paul Brinegar as Windcheater, a real Rebel, Eric Fleming as their leader, canal sharpie Gibbs Darter, and Bill Tompkins as Toothless Bluefish.

Castin’ Castin’ Castin’
Keep castin’ castin’ castin’
Though they're procrastinatin'
Keep them long rods castin’, Lineside!
Try to think just like one
Hope the plug’s the right one
Soon you’ll be hauling in a large.
Boy my heart’s a pumpin’
Hope soon a striper fightin’, be waiting at the end of my rod.

Cast ‘em out, reel ‘em in
Change a spot, check the drag
Cast ‘em out, reel ‘em in Lineside!
Screamin' reel, set the hook
Set the hook, reel ‘em in
Work ‘em in, beach ‘em up Linesiiiide!
