Went out over the weekend for the last tog trip (Sat)...it was pretty good but not has hot as it was the week prior. Also, the bite STOPPED when the tide changed, it was like someone threw a switch! As soon as I got there, set the hook dropped the bait...got a 9#er!...said, oh, this is gonna be a great day! We got our limit quick but the bite really died. That is it for 05 boating for me. (BTW, saw the Viking Fleet boat from Montauk fishing in BB)

(Took an early lunch today to catch the low tide and picked up another bussel of scallops... ) Wife is working on a tog and scallop stew recipe....should be tasty.

My favorite reel for toggin is the shimano tekoda, with 50# PP braid, smooth, powerful and excellent drag and it costs about as much as a decent penn.
