Winch, I also chose the wrong bandsaw and wish I got something different. Got a model from Sears aka kmart, that they discontinued shortly thereafter. It has a funky size blade which I dont think they make anymore. Plus I have outgrown it and does not cut well. Saving my pennies for something bigger and better.

Funny - I have a very large bandsaw and found it a pain sometimes and bought a smaller one. Now I only use my big saw for large (non-plug related) jobs.
Hi Cranium - I will come through with a report - sorry for the delay.

None!!! But I almost bought a scroll saw instead of a band saw. That would have been a mistake.

Brad point drills I paid 12 bucks a piece for. 10 inches long 1/8 dia.Waste of money.Tried once and never used again. Have way better luck with regular drills. Fortunately I really didn't have to buy much. I got all the best heavy duty band saws, drill presses, Bridgeports, and everything else needed right at work. Only thing that sucks is I got to be at work to use them so I got to plan ahead. Paul

Since your on the subject of bandsaws, and I'm thinking of buying one. Maybe someone can recommend the best type and or size. I want to start making darters and also cut better lip slots for my danny's. I've been using a hacksaw and or jigsaw and want something better (as in faster and neater).

Being new on the plug scene (relatively) and needing a bandsaw...I went straight for the gusto and bought a 12 inch Jet! No regrets there for sure! I do not believe in settling for anything less than the best!
