Last night I braught 8 eels, and only used 2 for a whole nights fishing, caught multiple bass on one eel. Quaker lane still has plenty, Capt. Dons has plenty, ericksons has plenty............
As the norm I always bring a dozen with me.........

I usually get a dozen for a night, but bring about 6 - 8 when I leave my truck to go to a spot. I would rather have more on me than run the risk of running out.
As far as hooks, I like the 5/0 Gami HD live bait hooks. I have been messing around with Gami 5/0 Octopus this year because I have not been able to get a bulk supply of the HD LB's yet. Tried several types of cirlce hooks a few seasons ago. They all sucked for me. More gut hooked fish than I ever got on straight hooks.

Gama 6 circles. 99% of fish that pick up the eel get hooked and 99% of those are solid jaw hookups.

Yup. I've tried a lot of hooks but these give you the best bang for the buck. Sure, you have to sharpen them, but I do that with any hook, even if it feels sticky sharp out of the box.
I loaded up on them when they cost cents apiece (not $5 for a half dozen like Gamis or Owners). They corrode fast, but you can throw the one you fished with away after one night and not feel like you're throwing money down the crapper
