I think you are out of line a bit here. As Saltheart said, its up to the individual to decide whether or not they reveal their favorite spots.
Folks here offer alot of advice regarding proper equipment, line, leaders, hooks, techniques, lures, baits, type of structure, etc. But you have no right to criticize people for not telling you their spots and giving you directions. You certainly can ask, but you should not be upset when people say no.
Remember, alot of people fish to enjoy getting away from crowds. You may say you wouldn't bring others, but people wouldn't know that for sure until they know you personally. In addition, some spots can only fish a few people or have private access or limited parking... there could be alot of factors which would make someone hesitant to tell others about a specific spot. If you expect people to give up their spots to you, you must expect them to give up their spots to anyone.
I'm a relative newcomer to striper fishing myself and didn't grow up in Mass. I moved up here after college and with a house, a family and a full time job, I also don't have alot of time to scout areas.
I not only don't know alot of spots, but also don't even know where alot of areas are or how to get to them. I've picked up a few spots here and there by reading local magazines, joining a few organized trips, but mostly from meeting people and developing friendships with a few of them. A few people on this board have been beyond nice to me and helped me get started. I don't think your approach would help develop such relationships.
As a life-long fisherman, I think that the "right to privacy" is one of the basic codes that we all live by and respect.
