I use to use one all the time in Florida.The bestway to learn is practice I never use my teeth and I can use a cast net very affectively. If you you have a nice yard practice in the grass .Cast over a tire or something .Once you get a good circle cast consistently then go try it in the water. I suggest starting with a 6' net then move up
