I've seen a guy fishing Indian Lake in Worcester twice this week. I think he's pushing it.

As of last week there was close to 6 inches of ice on it. Now I see open water. I know some of the ponds North of Worcester have a little left but I don't risk it for a while.

The only "safe" ice is that that you put in your glass to keep your favorite adult beverage cold, according to my grandmother.

I've been 3 x already this past week. Of course, I'm in western MA. There was 9.5" on a resorvoir in Sturbridge on Thursday. Many Bass (LM) up to 6#. Saw a few nice pike too. One more trip in me on monday before vacation ends. I'll send you a pm.

My wife has a softer touch so not really any more.
The ponds in the Northern Part of my area have about 8 inches of ice and are safe.
