Red Fist at Mouse Curser?

when I type in a box or e mail there is a little black line after my text tells me where I am typing well my little line is 1/2 thick how do I set that back to normal.

it'll either be under format
or preferences

generally............

the easiest way: is to look for a
restore defaults button though

but then you might have to
re-do => some other personal
settings, that got set back
from the defaults mode too....
