Cool Gotta love those cow's!!!

We took the boat out yesterday for the 1st time this year, due to problems with the guy not having the marina ready. We fished all day trolling live mac,s out to the B-Bouy and then back in a little bit. had alot of hits, think it was small fish and they just couldn't get ahold of some of those really big mac's we were using.

But low and behold on our way in toward the Graves I caught a
30 lb 8 oz cow. Fish was 43 inches long. Life is good, what a way to break in the year on the first outing on the Alternative!!!!

Saltheart,
There seem to be alot of mac's around from what I hear, But yesterday they were pretty scattered about as the wind has been tough for the last few days. Also we didn't get out till late and usually like to go get them right around daylight. The smallest ones we got yesterday were around 12-14 inches the bigger ones were around 20 + inches.

Bass Master, when do you want to go????????????? How come you didn't stay out there yesterday?????

Well if you got a picture, enter that baby in the unofficial SB.com boat tourny. Good fish and glad to hear you finally got your boat in the water.

I haven't had the weather to get out there and try the mac thing yet. There have been two days I've been out without 15-20knot winds. The first was memorial day when I had a guest and I just wanted to get him onto some fish and the second we got completely fogged in.

Maybe next week when my Dad is up, I'll get some decent weather and give it a try.

Nice fish FW, I'm so anxious to get out again, but I've been working 10 hours days putting in a vinyl fence project at my sisters house. My brother in law is down to help, but we did get into some nice fish down GB's way for just a few hours the night of the wild electrical storm. What a ride home that was, didn't even need my headlights.

Wink

Thanks Everybody, I do have a picture and maybe JohnR will put it in this thread.

Jersy Jim, Yes those blues are still around. We got into them bigtime Saturday night just as the sun was going down. We were surrounded by them and got them till 9 when we had to leave as we were fishing tri-state. Mostly in the 5-6 lb range with some bigger, dropped a real nice fish that night, don't know how big it was, never got too see it.

There is also alot of nice bass and blues down at Chatham if anyone is interested. Be there before the sun comes up and hang on!!!

Scotch Bonet, Don't give up hope, be patient, your time will come.

Jenn & Schoolie Monster, we have got to get together, what are you schedules like???????

SM, hit the spot last night, about an hour before high into drop. Only picked up 2 fish, but it was cool and the wind was tough.

GS, better get that work done and get out there buddy.

Hey Slipknot, couldn't believe it either. We didn't hook up into any other fish that day. This was the only one brought to the boat, but I can deal with that.

SPecialist, try shag rocks, hardings ledge, green can at Pt Allerton, and further out. they are around, try trolling those sabiki rigs instead of jiggin straight up and down, this can be better at time.

Dad of squid kid, were have you and Swimmer been, haven't seen or heard from either of you in a while. Hope all is well.
was nice to finally get the boat in the water. YEEEE HAAAAAAA

Nice Bass Lady,

It's about ime you guys got into the action. The fish outside Boston are on their late spring pattern and according to my logbook we are three weeks ahead of time. Using that as a starting point the big weekend for the good ones before they move into summer residence is this weekend. What I am saying is that according to the books, you got your big en this weekend last year. We put almost 100 Herring in the pen last night and will be out hard this weekend. May be time to take out the nets and look for the right baits. Do not forget to carry the cameras outside of Boston.
