Gee, that sounds good to me. As long as it covers medical claims, electronics on your boat, and the most common damages to your boat. Ask the questions get the answers in writing. If towing is not covered, at that price go to Boat US and get the cheapo membership with towing or sea tow.
Make sure you have all the safety devices requried, PFD's, horns (notice more than one), throwable PFD, manual pump, flashlights, radio, gps and epirbs( if you can afford one) . Keep the reciepts and take pictures of the devices installed.
You mentioned your mooring the boat and living in Goshen, thats a long way off. Will you be checking your boat frequently??

I would bet a $128 preimum has a lot of exclusions...look them over good. IMO you really need salvage and oil spill. The laws are very strict in these areas now. The Boat US site had a section on insurance that had some good tips on what to look for sniff around over there.

Whatever you do don't be macho guy when they ask if your boat goes 45 and over, if you answer with a yes I guarantee the premium is higher.

I am only looking for laibility, so I don't think the part about electronics and damages to the boat will matter to me. But the medical bills is a good? for me to ask the agent. I can't beleive you even know where Goshen is!!! Most people say, "where??" I tell them that I like it that way. It's about an hour drive south on 8 to get to the Bridgeport area. I am hoping to be mooring somewhere in that general vicinity. I plan on getting down there once every week or two. Good thing is that I have a boat-partner, so he and his family will also be going there too.

***** I WOULD STILL RATHER GO HUNTING W/ #^&#^&#^&#^& CHENEY THAN GO FOR A DRIVE W/ TED KENNEDY ******
