I enjoyed the article. It got me wondering when I'll find myself fishing for tuna. For now, it seems like too expensive a venture, without personally knowing a boatman with a boat fit for offshore. I enjoyed the foreshadowing in the story where Flap saw the warning signs of the wind on the beach, and ignored them. I also enjoyed the honesty of having 2nd rate gear, which I can relate to, as my first casts in the canal were from an old sloppy pole with a pyramid weight and bait. Now, I have a setup or two that are fit, and have learned some of the standard methods of fishing it.
