Short wheelbase=easy to tip over.... Lost a good friend in a Bronco2 when we rolled over in 78. No good.

Guess the Wrangler is out. I want to try to get something that gets in the 20's. I want 4wd and be able to tow a small trailer and be able to fit 10' rods in it, asking for too much?

4 cylinder Tacoma maybe. Even the auto should get around 20 if you don't ride it too hard. Fitting rods "in it" may be a challenge though. With a cap on the back you should be able to open the back window in the cab and shoot them through.

Larry,
I was in the back seat, got blown out rear hatch. 2/11/78 two days after Blizzard. Hit a snowbank and we were over, with 35 gallons of fuel that ignited. Yeah, alchohol was involved. Was my junior year at UMass.... I don't need to argue my opinion, it's not going to change.

But your opinion is of a first hand bad experience with a Bronco 2....not a Jeep. They are different vehicles and as I said its all about how you drive them.

like Larry said - the jeep is as good as the person driving it. The 4.0 is a great sand bug and if anyone has trouble driving one on sand they will have even bigger problems with any other sand vehicle. I get 16 or 17 PMG deprnding on how I drive it.
