I keep all 6 holes plugged on my t-140. Kayak fishing stuff has scupper plugs with cords attached for 6 bucks a pair. When you have to you just pop em out quick and thier tied off so you don't loose em.

The pool noodle is what i use. It works OK. YOu need to make sure you cut them about 1/8" larger than they need to be, and they tend to wear out quicker than the pre-made ones. One noodle can get you a ton of them so it only costs like 10cents per.
