Don't worry FW, I think I've seen you catch enough fish to know you just had the hex goin'... not much more you can do when they come unglued from multiple trebles.
I had that stretch a few weeks ago where I lost 9 straight fish. It was nuts, I didn't think I was ever going to land one again. And last year during a huge bluefish blitz on the flats, I went thru a spell. I had caught dozens of blues and was going to bring one home to cook. I decided I had enough and my next fish would be my last and my dinner. I lost 7 or 8 blues in a row. Just using a hopkins w/ single hook. Took it as a sign and when I finally got one in, I let him go and called it a night.
And yes, I'm shy... especially when there's boats all over the place. I'll probably never be able to pee out of a boat again... never thought about it before, now you guys put this in my head. Thanks.
Yah, we compared the 6 1/2" jerkbait with the herring we had. Length and width are just about the same. That's probably why I've been doing so well on it... might have to experiment with some blue over pearl to try and match that color. GS, will be in touch.
Again, had a great time and had almost forgotten about John lecturing a certain guide about spamming S-B.com...
