People in the Steeler front office haven't been too happy about him riding a motor cycle (and without a helmet) for quite a while.
This can't make them too happy!!!

I feel bad for the guy getting hurt and all, but what the heck is he thinking not wearing a helmet?
I saw an interview recently with Chris Myers and he mentioned something about now that he is a professional ball player he has to tone down his extra ciricular activities like the x game type of sports, I guess he should have thought to wear a helmet too, not that it would have helped his knees any. damn shame, lucky he's alive like Gary Busey.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

multiple fractures
7 hours of reconstructive surgery to the face by four surgeons is a
big operation... ouch.... had he been wearing a helmet on the fastest production bike made... he might have walked away.
wearing a helmet:
i think when your touring through winding roads in the foliage season with little to no traffic is one thing.....but in the city??? no way.

Smart player on the field, but not a very bright guy off the field it seems. Wear your freakin helmet Ben. I know you want everyone to see you cruising around on your bike to inflate your ego, but i hope that was worth it. Dude is lucky to be alive. Poor choice to ride helmetless on his part. Not smart Ben

some guy in Conn. just died when he tried avoiding a bear on his bike - didn't have a helmet on.
I thought Ben's worse injury was a broken jaw with 2 teeth knocked out (hell I got the same injury playing golf )

Better check the fine print of his contract. Maybe Steelers don't have to honor his contract being injuried on a motorcycle!!!!

No guaranteed contracts in the NFL anyway (except for bonuses) so they could release him tomorrow if they want.

No "motorcycle clause" but there is a general statement about dangerous behavior. He had been warned not to ride the bike w/o a helmet. He isn't suppose to miss any games, so they won't want to piss him off and prob. won't fine him.
