For me, June has been great. Not too many skunks, but the fish have been short or skinny (and too often - both). Am still at the base of my learning curve, but each season that passes is better than the last.

Everyone says, put your time in and things will get better. They're correct. It takes time... months, years, and I'm sure decades, but every time out is a learning experience whether you catch fish or not (hopefully you catch)

Switched over to eels tonight (I rarely use eels) and dropped a huge fish after about thirty seconds of muscling her away from some rocks. It took about 10 minutes for me to collect myself, take a deep breathe and starting fishing again... good thing I did

It just keeps getting better.
