Don't use the hook in package. A good one hook alternative is the Mustard limerick in 8/0 no. 31022. This is tube lure hook and needs to be straightened out before placed in the 9 inch Slug-go. Also , close the eye and wrap the shank with thread or 50 lb. dacron then super glue and push into sluggo. The guy who originally introduced me to the sluggo 4 seasons ago uses this hook/method and is happy with it. It is a ALOT easier and quicker to rig and effective but I have found you will miss some fish , epecially dinks, because of the one hook. He doesn't care as he is looking for cows. His best is 47 on this rig.
