OK - now I'm on the same page with you. First off, travel north to Scituate and get your self in rockier water or go off Manomet but have an EXCELLENT chart in either case. Do not go solo. You will need at least one other semi-capable person when trolling in the mine fields (I mean lobstah traps). Alot of areas that hold bass hold boulders too, some tantalizingly close to creating a hole for all that water anxiously waiting to get inside yer boat... Never fly thru this area as there are tons of barley submerged hull breakers. I can't emphasize that enough.

Off Manomet, there are tons of boulders, lobsters and other bass attractants - steer clear of the lobster traps. The only time I fished the place (a few weeks ago) I marked a fair amount of nice fish in there.

If you look inside just this area, there is tons of structure to hold fish. Just in that area alone.... Just north & south of the harbor mouth - is a TON of structrue. You can even anchor and chunk as long as you're not going to block off someone that's drifting thru.

Now next trick, get your tube & worm down. 60 pound mono might be too much, the line probably has it's own wake. Best bet is to use leadcore line and troll fairly slow. This will get your tubes down into the strike zone. Alternate tube colors - say one black & one red or orange & purple - mix 'em up. Another thing is using the soft plastics on light tackle gear. Got Stripers from http://Ledgerunnerbaits.com developed alot of his stuff in rocky ledges like that area - his plastics can be pretty deadly there where he cut his teeth on them rocks...

Get on the water early. You want to have the boat off the trailer and heading out of the harbor when it's light enough to see the lobster traps but the sun is still just below the horizon.

Good Polarized Glasses are a MUST. Not only can you occasionally see the actual fish in clear waters of Scituate & Manomet but it also helps in seeing the rocks and ledges in the area... Not only will they help you fish, they are a valueable safety device.
