I suggest that JohnR set up a PM address, like the one for YASBR, for indications of interest/orders for sizes and numbers. Only those with interest in purchase need reply, and JR will have an idea of initial orders.....

Its funny when you're asked for your opinion and when you give it you get grief. I think all of the posts have been well thought out and not just griping.
If the purpose is a plug fest shirt, awesome deisgn, if it was meant as s-b.com shirt, it seems a little too much and does not appeal to a lot of people.
I'd rather have shirt with a big eel on it....

making s-b.com a kinder, gentler place for all

The shirts will sell regardless of what design John desides to go with. John asked for some feedback/opinions and people have spoken up and have been honest. Now the people who disagree and dont think the design represents SB.com as a whole are being called whiners and babies, grow up people, you're the ones sounding like whining babies now! John wanted our feedback and thats what he's getting. maybe he should have asked for our feeback BEFORE he designed the shirt?

I have done that in the past and gotten similar and varied responses. Which is part of why I wanted something different to break past that - guess I was a little less than accurate....

If the shirt is going to be produced and sold anyway, why did you bother to ask for our input?

You're going to produce the shirt, so just do it, and this thread was a total waste of time giving our input if you're not going to listen to our suggestions.

Just produce the shirt and be done with it. it will sell, just not as many as a shirt with the actual SB.com logo on it. At least in my opinion anyway.

I just have trouble understanding how an official SB.com shirt doesnt have the official SB.com logo on it!? Just makes no sense to me!

I needed to see if I can cover the minimum production run, litteraly $2000, if there would be enough interest. That was the purpose of the thread. I may still do it I may not do it. I'm really not sure at this point. I don't NEED to make money on this shirt but I can't LOOOSE money on it.

So without sounding like a jackbutt, I'm not doing anything else on a shirt for a while because I'm tired of working til one in the morning on a shirt, and getting pissed at myself for taking my vacation days from my real job to work on this instead of working on my boat, taking my kid fishing, or all of the other "fun" things I could have been doing.

We've had half a dozen threads asking for shirts. When I ask for a slogan, I get a couple jokes and attempts. When I asked for a logo / symbol, I get a lot of art directors and little art. No general consensus. Guess I should have expected that this time too.

Personally I really don't care what the shirt looks like as I would buy it anyway. Its the least I can do to support what I consider my "home" on the net.

Whenever you ask a question of this nature you get the complainers. It never fails. They pipe in to be hurd and that's about it. we have a great community here. The logos belong to sponsers of that very same community.
Make the shirts they will sell with no problem at all.
I'm in for a couple

Go for it John.

I like the shirt. And you know we all fish with these plugs. I fly fish also, but I still love plugging and these plugs all fish well. The guys who make them support this site. Start with this design first and then go from there.

Oh, and I want to be crystal clear about the sponsors logos listing on the back of the shirt. This was never a shirt to showcase the SPONSORS. The whole part of the sponsors was they were helping with the production costs of the shirt keeping the costs lower to you all, and they were enthusiastic about that. They were originally going to have their logos on a sleve.

So regardless of what happens, don't take a bad eye on those sponsors as they were trying to help me provide the shirts cheaper for you, that's all.

(We'll figure something out )

Thanks!

John

One more thing

JR can you squeeze my name on there, not for any particular reason I just want my name on the shirt too. After all you know how famous I am. Thank you John Pollack!
