Watch Hill report 8/31

I had to wait for my brother to get out of work on Saturday afternoon and then we drove to the Weekapaug bait shop to pick up some eels. By the time we got out to the lighthouse it was 8:00. There was only one hour until dead low tide. We didn't do that well at the lighthouse. We left at 9:00 and went to the Charlestown Breechway. There were only two others out at the end. The weed was really bad. I lost two blue fish before finally calling it a night at around 11:00 as the tide was turning.

We would have done better at the lighthouse if we could have got out there an hour or two earlier. But we got there too late. Those rocks are extremely tretorous. I need to get some corkers before I venture out there again. It is really dangerous out there. I really prefer the cape with the sandy beaches. Too bad it is so far away.
