I think all of Shimano's 6000 and 8000 series reels share the same body and rotor, with the only difference being the depth of the spool (6000 has a shallower spool and holds less line).

Personally, if two reels weigh the same and cost the same, I'll always get the one that holds more line.

Thumbs up

Thanks to all : I've got the answer I wanted !

It will certainly be a 6000 or 8000 Twinpower :
- I don't like the Stradic and Spheros handles (a bit on the cheap side)
- i don't like the location of the anti-reverse lever on the Spheros

Mike : yes, I think the 6000 and 8000 share the same body.

The trouble is to find one in these sizes hers in France : the trend is to use thin lines and sizes over 4000/5000 are no more imported !!!

I think I found a 6000 in a local shop, will check tomorrow. I can always get a 8000 spare spool somewhere !

Too bad they don't sell the Twinpower in the US.

They don't sell the Twin in the US, right, but you have the Sustain which is very similar.
A new line of Twinpower is available in France, but no size over 5000.
I guess that for greater sizes you must get a HG or PG in Japan.

Anyway, I found an "old" Twin 6000 (but with the waterproof lubricated gearcase, 2 spools) with a good discount this week-end, so I made my choice !
