Awsome Pics Stax! The cliff thing??? I don't know about me hanging off the side like that... But the fishes you catch may just fix the height issue

These a picture of the "ALVEY" sidecast fishing reel we use off the cliffs. It has a line capacity of 1000 yards of mono 30lb line. If you loose a 100 yards it makes no difference at all. They are not to shabby at casting as well. It has a 1:1 retrive and is strong as an Ox.

Justplugit.
Here is a web shot of the type of lures we use, this is only one of the brands, there are hundreds of brands, hundreds of sizes and colours, some cheap ($5-$6) and the Repala's are $15-$20.

Here is Kerren with a "small" black tip reef shark. Notice the black abyss behind him!

This is a shot of Steep Point from the air. You can clearly see the faultline that seperates the bay from the darker water. We fish from the Ovens where the water is about 80 feet deep at your feet.
The schools of fish (Narrowbanded and Yellowfin Tuna) swim down the coast, from the left of this picture, in the deep water. As they approach the faultline they swin across the bay and end up at Steep Point. This large deep bay is also one of the major spots were the baitfish get caught and herded to. Once there the large, sometimes schools of Tuna, literally make the whole bay boil. You could cast your cellphone out there and catch a Tuna!

So, what do you think of our hidden treasure?

Stax, that is way cool stuff my man, way cool. So bibbed means lipped, I guess I learned some Australian today. Neat!

That Saamson fish was neat, looked like it would fight hard and probably take a surface plug. Also that Mulloway looks like a white sea bass as found off of our west coast and down Baja. Sea trout (actually the croaker family of fishes) like our Squeteaque and Spotted Weakish, in that family. You guys get Tailor down there which we know as Bluefish correct?

Got to be a bitch getting those critters up that cliff. Not much for a live release. The Alveys really cast when you can adjust the spool to face forward. Guys use them out west for salmon.

Well, welcome aboard, that really cool stuff and looks like lonely country out that way. Drop a cold one for us mate!

Why even try.........
