True, but in my case being on the water, killing the mice did nothing other than allow new mice to move-in 1-2 days later.
It only takes 1-2 moth ball crystals, not really that noticeable, and not as bad as mouse urine and little raisins all over the place

They love the snowmobiles here. Last year they had a big ole stinkin nest in one made of Alpaca wool.....just so you get a better idea of why this surprises me......the alpaca farm is a half mile away from the house!!!!

Its kinda fun to watch the ones in the exhaust come freeakin out when you start em up though!!!!

is an electric anti -mouse (rodent device) that emits a high pitched shrill sound that drives all rodents out of your house. it sells for ten bucks. I'm planning on buying one soon myself.

i'll never forget though....one night....we had a water bed next to a wall....and of course they can't be moved....and our parrot used to (sometimes) wing his unwanted peanuts (still in the shell) out of his cage....

so i get into bed and i'm just about to fall asleep when i hear CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH.... in the corner....near the bed...

it's a mouse with one of the parrots thrown peanuts......eating it

so i get up and grab a broom to search and destroy the S.O. B.
and what a hassle.....as i chased it all over the room smashing things just barely mising it many times until it finally ran up my body to try and get away....oh! man.... thats a real wake up event ...

that was the luckiest mouse ever .....as it finally escaped.

I used to live in a drafty old house in Jamaica Plain as akid, and we had a crack in the foundation that field mice were able to get through.
At first we tried traps, but after a while, they were looking sick with mice blood an brains on them, so we opted for a cat. We got a real good "mouser". He would catch and eat most of the mice. The funniest thing I ever saw was our dog. He was a German Shepard/Huskie mix (mostly shepard) names Champ. The dog and cat got along fantastic. I'll never forget the sight of a full grown shepard chasing AND CATCHING a mouse and eating it whole.
(I think he wanted to see what all the fuss was about.)
The other funny thing was the cat's way of bringing "gifts" to my father. The cat (a double pawed cat correctly named "Mittens") would bring freshly caught mice and climb on the kichen table, walk OVER the newspaper my father was reading with his breakfast, and drop his offering in his cereal. I can't help but laugh thinking about now, some 20+ years later.
