Best of luck with your new venture Bill, if you ever need any advice don't hesitate to ask. I started off working for myself many years ago, started with side jobs and then went full time self employed in 1986. I could never get a regular job now, I love it. I do have to put in long hours at times but the rewards are worth the sacrifices.
Just remember that eventually you will find in that business that word of mouth is great for new business. There is no replacement for a satisfied customer who is willing to give your name out or hire you again in the future. If your dad knows alot of that then I'm sure you do well. I always wanted my uncle to work with me later in his life as I worked with him earlier in my life but it never happened due to his passing on at 54.

This is a good time of year to have placed that ad also.
