The day after an August blitz in 1999 on the back. I had 68 large fish in two nights and a $2,800 check to show. It was the end of my heavy fishing days. I got married in 2000.
After a good night in 1996 off the back in the Marconi area on the right. Best was 44#. All on eels.

Mike:
I'm in tears. 1996 was one of the "legend" years. Lanny, #^^^^&y C, Steve Voicinet, George Calzone, Stevie Mills. What fishing we had!
July 3rd we had over 100 fish between 20 and 40 at the Second Rip in 3 hours.
I am afraid those days are gone...

A few more from the cape. My brother with a 46# fish from ballston on left. My twin 46# fish on the right taken in front of the parking lot at head of the meadow on eels. Pre-seal fishing at its finest. It was mostly a matter of just being there many nights. The fish were big and around in good numbers. A lot of guys did real well. A firefighter from New York named Paul Hoercher, god rest his soul, taught us a lot of the ropes. I caught more than 50 fish over the 40# mark in a few years thanks to Paul's teachings.
