Excellent fish.
The small ones are a blast to catch. Got a bunch of school Tarpon several years ago in the 10,000 islands. They are such a cool fish.
The small ones jump just as much as the biggins.
Every time I cast to a large tarpon, I screw up.

Nice feesh, Eben!

If ya wanna land some reds and some keepah snook, head over to Tiger Tail Beach on Marco Island. One HUGE tidal pool, take your cast net and bait bucket for the finger mullets directly in front of you when you hit tha beach................then either cast right there, 50' to the left, 20' to the right, or beware tha BOIL.

Biggest boil I've ever seen about 75 yds to tha right, in broad daylight bout an hour before a 2pm Low. Reds tailin', and snook were schmackin' everything insight wit their tails for the stun and inhalement. It went on for 2-21/2 hours, bro. Landed 3 and released 2 reds, c&r 3 juvenile snook and lost 2 LARGE snook! That waz a phenominal day.

Watch the noseeum's at night. Skin So Soft is a skin saver at night that fer south in FL. SW FL resident for 14 years up to '98. Tarpon are a blast to sight feesh, good luck Nebe.
