If your hooked on ulgy sticks then theres no need to change your brand but it would be stupid to think they aren't better rods for the job. I had a 12' 2pc epoxied ugly convence that I cutt to 10' 10", 4'' off the tip the rest off the butt and lemme tell you it was an awsome rod for chunkin anywhere, even the canal. My first 2 customs where ugly sticks. When crazy Al had a semiar at MSBA he had some of his set ups on hand and so happened his big bass arsinal consisted of custom uglys.

That is particaly true it depends on who it is and what they use. If the average s-b'er starts a post on big bass chunk rods then you may get a couple hundred clicks but if a guy like 'Crazy Al' starts the same post writes the same thread then not only will them clicks double dudes will start searching e-bay and yard saleing for ugly sticks if need be. I know custom ugly sticks make some dam good eel rods but the brand is not backed up by a big name. Also, I think because its glass guys think it doesn't have the gutts that some of the other heavy rods, which is not true.
