I had a 1989 Yamaha and they are great motors!! Just keep the oil injection in ck all the time!
They don't like to run permix as they are not jetted for it and foul the plugs fast if you do.
My guy told me to run a 50:1 mix first tank on the season, this will insure that you see the oil injection working, and lube everything nice after a long winters nap.
The first year that I didn't do that, the oil injection must have clogged up over the winter or something, but it was the first trip of the year, injection didn't work and now the motor doesn't either
