I like the Berkley lines and get the 17#. Sometimes I use steel but mostly 30# for my leaders.....I think between my hubby and I we only lost a few blues on the mono ( and mostly because we got into fish and didnt bother changing to a new leader after a blue....
our own fault really)
I have tried 50 for my rigs and leaders but have a hard time tying good knots with it........so what does one do?????? tie a MUCH better knot on lighter line or a CRAPPY knot on heavier line?????? 6 of one???? half dozen of the other???
