So I got the day off tomorrow
Looking to take a road trip and wet a line somewhere. Was going to try the Wachusett reservior but the fishing season doesn't open until April 1st. If you could go somewhere to fish within 1 1/2 - 2 hours of Boston where would you head?
Not looking for Spots just Bodies of water and Ideas. More interested in just getting out to somewhere different and enjoying the day than anything else.
PM's are always welcome...thanx

Wachusett's season starts the 1st however it will not open till Ice Out. All the ice has to be off of it. Last couple of years that wasn't untill well into in April. A lot of the ponds are stocked out here but there is still a lot of skim ice.

Kevin, White Pond in Concord is a good choice, Stocked with trout, it has rainbows, big Browns, (your only aloud one a day), And salmon you have a very good chance of getting big hold overs there. best fished with canoe but shore is fine also, Gold and silver spoons work great there.
