John Lennon said it best, " Life is what happens when your're busy making other plans"....

Thumbs down

Personally, I think this "MOASS" thing robbed the site of a lot of new and intriguing designs where all the plug guys where concentrati8ng on making 30 plugs when they could have been doing a bunch of new and exciting stuff for all to see. Creativity took a back seat to some sort of plug greed.

The other sites plug forum has been way more interesting this winter and I belive this MOASS thing had a lot to do with it.

Maybe you think sharing is caring but we, as members of this site and specifically this forum, didn't benefit at all from this creatively.

Just my .02 cents.

Why even try.........

10 swaps are nice ,,, 30 to much .. handful of guys and a handful of new builders kept the site going this year .. Its much better when people are creating rather than duplicating 30 .. That being said I'd sure love a set of those 30 ..

I see your point Steve but you forget, a couple of sets go to John, one for his use and the other to raffle off to help pay the bills. I see the swap as a way for builders to get plugs from their fellow builders and to give back to John. I'm sorry you feel the swap took away from the site.

Please explain this plug greed you talk about.

Personally, I do the SuperSwaps because I have a weird sense of mission. Something for the site and something to keep this swap alive. It has taken a life of it's own and it's fun. There's nothing else like it and I try to make a plug unique to the 'Swap. I think on down the road someone will post a "what's this?" thread and the answer will be "That's an '07MOASS by so and so" only 27 made.
I think that my posts of plugs have stayed on par with past years. Sooooo, where's yours?

As a participant, I think that MOASS will have a positive effect on the site due to the fact that building 30 has some unique challenges that cause the builders to come up with some creative ideas for jigs and other helpful devices. I know that for me, I have gained a lot of valuable experince and plan on sharing some ideas that were birthed from MOASS.

Just my .02
