You can't always blame the kids and parents. Sometimes the situation is beyond their control. When I flew to Okinawa (18 hours) I got to fly with a bunch of families and kids. The couple in front of me had a 2 year old and a 6 month old. What exactly do you do to amuse them for 18 hours? I couldn't keep myself amused on that flight. The only time I got mad was when the 2 year old snuck under the seat and poured coke in my shoes while I was sleeping. I just woke the parents up and let them know what had happened. No point in yelling or making threats.
It did really bite having to spend the rest of the trip in uniform with a pair of wet and sticky feet.......
