When the hook is hanging down with the bend of the hook curved toward the front of the plug... I would call that pointing to front. Sorry I know that this could get confusing. One picture is worth a thousand words, but I don,t know how to do that with the computor. I'm still typing with two fingers. I think I should have said POINT UP.

I alway thought about it like this

fish hits from bottom, hook point down put the point deeper in the mouth of the fish, a side hit works the same...put a hook in your mouth its harder to stick your self hook faceing out than faceing in unless the plugs hitting bottom,I put point up not to snag

its no ones fault
