I agree that there absolutely has to be life somewhere out there, but I don't know if there is intelligent life capable of contacting us in some way. I doubt very much that they evolved to look much like us, with two eyes, two arms, nostrils and mouths, etc. The chance if that is almost impossible.
Also, light travels at 186,600 miles PER SECOND. At that speed, it takes four years for light from the nearest star (other than the sun) to get here. It takes light from many of the stars we see in the night sky millions of years to get here at that incredibly fast speed. I seriously doubt that anyone from anywhere else is coming here.
Toby, maybe you've got to give the fishing a break and take up a daytime sport like golf that lets you get some more sleep.

you are not thinking about inter dimensional travel though..
where you pop thru from one dimension to another...
and alien beings that are a million more years advanced can do things
that we could neither understand or believe possible...
