Simply put...Al shoulda paid attention.
Do ya think he would've let Humpback Whale be on the menu even if he wasn't the one who selected the menu?Of course not!
Some of y'all would actually want to elect a guy who CAN'T pay attention to the details!DETAILS ARE EVERYTHING,especially when lives are involved. This insane devotion to party lines has to stop and the guys who worship at the party-line altar know who you are.
The law is the law and endangered is endangered.Al effed up,plain and simple.

This guy knows that everything he does is looked at and scrutinized. He may not have chosen the menu, or even approved it. But, I'm sure he (or Tipper) knew what was being served. He makes himself a public figure, so he has to deal with the media attention whether it is positive or negative. I personally think he's a doofus, but I don't wish bad things on anyone (like a son getting arrested for drugs), including him. As far as him being "for the environment", that's great, but it doesn't make him a wonderful person. It just makes him someone who has a public platform to try to get people to vote for him for president someday. And, I do check the endangered species list before I eat. As long as cows, pigs and pasta are not on it, I'll be o.k.

um.. AL broke no law and this fish is not an endangered species.
the only thing Al effed up was serving a fish that has a contreversial past.
You can buy these fish at one of the most green conscious supermarket chains in america for around $20 a Lb..
This topic is so rediculous its well... rediculous.

Gore is a hypocrite Winnie. His carbon footprint is bigger then Sasquatch's. His monthly electric bill on one of his homes exceeds 100 X the average monthly bill for Americans (so does Edwards, he is worse actually)...But he wants US to conserve more. It is OK for him because he purchases these bogus "carbon credits" created by a company HE formed and still owns, so in essence he is putting money back in his own pocket. HE should be the one conserving, setting an example, living off solar panels with a windmill in his yard and burning cow patties in his wood stove, not tell US WE need to be the one conserving.
Who can afford to purchase carbon credits? The RICH that is who. This changes nothing. Buying carbon credits justifies consuming more? No not in my book.
Gore (and edwards) are fools.
I have to go fill up my SUV, excuse me.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Jim: You make valid points..
the problem is... some super-green guy riding a bike everywhere, eating only non-endangered vegan foods wouldn't get the issues any attention..
Do I agree with all of Gores points/issues.. nope.
Does he have the science essentially correct in his movie... yup..
Problem is he left out the time frame from a lot of these, so they look a bit more rapid than they probably are...
