Office 2k question

Got a strange one, gang...

I've been using office 2000 for a long time now. Recently, when I do the "Start-new office document - word document" it is pulling up an old document instead of a fresh, blank page. I got it to clear once but now, it's doing it again.

It seems to be something with starting a document, closing it and not saving it. it seems to be saving it to that "Word document" icon.

Any idea how to fix this or should I just re-install?

do a search on your computer for normal.dot and delete any copy you find

make sure word is closed before doing this

and then when you restart word, it will generate a new one.

Ok...will try that this afternoon. Been straight out and have not checked in nearly enough.
