Eric Gag. I seen this coming months ago.
No clutch hitting,to many runners left on base.

Hitting has nothing to do with the losses this past weekend. They had the lead in the late innings and blew it.....Plain and simple. The usually stalwart bullpen coughed them both up.

You should check the box scores, you will see how many runners are left on base. night after night.
This team is flat and has to snap out of it.

Too many runners left on base AND the stupidity of Francona in using his pitchers wrong!!! Why leave Gag in to face lefties when you have OKE ready in the bullpen? Then why take OKE out because a right handed hitter is coming up, when all season OKE has been doing well against righties???
Always said Francona is not much of a manager, and it shows in must win games!!!
If Red Sox fade out of playoff race, Francona should be FIRED!!!

...they need a brawl to get them back into the team mentality. they've lost too many winnable games to chumps when they put it into cruise control...they've been hanging with jd drew too long- no fire...come on uke wake 'em up...... who, besides dale arnold, thought it would be easy?

The whole team should go to the movie theater today and see the movie Miracle together .

The Sox have been leaving runners on base since before I was born, That has always been one of their problems.
But the bottom line is when you have the lead in the late innings, like the Sox did this weekend in both of their losses......, and you have 2 All-stars in your bullpen.....you should win those games.

what is the concern. This is typical post All-Star Game Red Sox baseball.
Historically they have been in first at the all star break and manage to sqeak by or blow it before the end of the season.
Have the Sox ever won the division before the last game of the season? lol
keep the faith. They slumped but they'll turn it around.

Now those 6 games coming up with the Yanks will be HUGE! I'm not surprised at all. Buckle up for a wild ride! Perfect way to end the summer.

Tampa Bay?? I am gonna bet the Devil Rays manhandle the Sox taking at least half the remaining games between the two! Think its gonna be a cakewalk??? More like a slide! The cracks are starting to show and most of all....the Yankees are playing the type of game I knew they could play! Even if their pitching stumbles, those bats are going to beat their opposition to death!!! If Ortiz, Manny and JD Drew don't bring their bats.......fahgetabowdit!!!! Also.....Lugo has done absolutely nothing all season......he has been a liability both in the field and on the bases and he is not hitting his weight!!! I say put Cora in full time from here on out....everytime he plays he is a spark!!!
Don't mistake this as Sox bashing.....I watch baseball with my head, not with my heart!

Four Game LEAD we've been ahead all freakin' Summer. The best team in baseball and playing over .600 ball. Yankee fans were praying for a wild card slot and got it. Another Catcher's mitt, rare Mr. ARod? BELIEVE

I saw that stat and my jaw dropped. Scary. I don't expect to Gagne in the the 8th anymore. Oki was doing fine. Fracona won't let that happen too many games in a row. The other thing that worries me this year is Papi is playing hurt and probably not going to be as effective as the last few years down the stretch. JD Blew I mean Drew is a big downer and Manny is... well hitting good now but he needs Papi to make him even better. Oh well here we go again.
