i'm in the same boat. been fishing since as far i can remember.. freshwater for about 10 years then i switched over and i'm about 10 years on that give or a take a few off seasons in my teens. only two catches worth talking about are a 5 or 6lb largemouth and a 6 1/2lb pickerel.
on good days i lay into those "almost" fish, left and right. maybe i will get one today.. but it could be tainted..

we got boats.. goin out in like 30 mins. despite my mixed feelings on boat caught fish. as long i dont catch it trolling. trolling takes something away from it for me. i dunno why.. boats do to. but i figure if the boats in one spot and i'm forced to work like i'm on shore..it doesnt matter.
