Piked up a some nice plugs (Capesams Tiger needle too ) and a Van Staal wrench. Good stuff and good prices. Nice folks and a good cause too.

I came straight from my last trip to SoCo. Being a little shy and no shower - I was a little quiet. I always kick myself after for not introducing myself. Hope all went well the rest of the day.

Thumbs up

Hey I had stuff out there for cheap $ !!! Too bad more people didn't show up.

HUGE thanks to those that did come: Mac, tobias, shipwrecked & friend, timf, Chris in MA, crash and tattoobob!

Sorry Shipwrecked for not letting you in there sooner. Thanks for your patience. I hope you guys weren't disappointed for the wait.

Chris in Mass - where you the tall guy w/ the Habs puller over cap on?! Good gawd man - why didn't you tell me who you were ....LOL. I'm the one who told you to buy the thicker wrench. My bad for not introducing myself to you.

I did meet my minimum sales goal some how. That is due to generous donation from a certain individual who previously sold some stuff of his own for ACONE. Thanks you know who!

Thanks again Dave for helping me out all day and timf for helping us pack up at the end. I'm bummed out I had to tote most of it back home.

JohnR <--<< massive thanks to S-B for allowing me do this to raise much needed money for ACONE. We are forever grateful to you.

Hey Ray,
No problem for a good cause and great cheap tackle. Damn wish I had more cash!! I actully field tested my new Penn 710 reel I just bought on my Allstar 1088. Its a perfect match. My friend Jim(XYZ) field tested the Batson 1088 he bought and loved it. Probably the best deal I have seen in a long long time. He got a better deal on his rod then I got on my Allstar.

xyzs - that is a Batson Rainshadow SW1088 which I made for myself. I got the blank on sale and sold it for the cost of the parts I had into it. I'm glad that you like it. For that kind of money I doubt you will find a nicer made custom rod.
Have a great Christmas & New Year as well dude!

Ey Scott/#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& - you missed a lot of nice gear for sure. Ask Andy about it.
If you are looking for anything in particular send me an e-mail since ya pm's are off.
I had a couple of boat outfits which I am sure you would have liked.

Shipwrecked - next time you save up some $ and want something you saw I will honor the ACONE prices. You just live up the road from me. I can always leave it at the office and you can pick it up and pay for it directly and save me a step in the process..... lol.

ACONE has two paid staff: the assistant to the executive director works 4 days a week and the executive director works 5 days a week. All of the people that teach our programs and the board of directors are volunteers: not paid a penny. The huge annual conference that we host which 1000+ people attend from all over the country is done entirely with unpaid volunteers. The office wastes nothing - we can't afford to.

Ray,

Maybe a post holiday sale???? Cash is tight right now but I would love to support you, the cause, and my "need another rod" sickness.

Ey Mike/Luds48. I was hoping to catch folks before Christmas and all the bills rolling in after the holidays....... LOL.

If I am going to use ACONE's office space again, it has to be a Sunday. They have programs on Saturdays in am and in afternoons a lot of times. It took three of us about 2 hrs to set up (re-arrange the tables, stack up chairs and unpack things). I can't expect my two helpers to be available again from 9 - 5 on top of their own travel time. As you can see from the pictures I had a fair amount of things out at great prices. Guys who did come found some good stuff IMHO.

Starting next month the retail stores have sales and then the fishing shows start up shortly after that. I can't compete again them and I would be taking $ away from my favorite places. Some one suggested I put things up on Ebay for top $, but that takes time and patience - who would want to go near a post office right now to ship something?! Not I ..... lol. I hate lines. I could list things here on S-B, but can't do that during the day (can't afford to lose my day job & my performance review is coming up just before Christmas) and would only be able to respond in evenings. Meeting up with people can be time consuming and shipping is a nuisance. Notice I haven't sold anything in a while anywhere?! LOL. I refuse to use SOL any more (that is another story behind that).

I'm open to suggestions of how to get rid of my gear as fast as possible so ACONE can get the funds.

If any one wants to set up a time to come over in evening we can do that, but the problem there is my wife isn't crazy about "strangers" coming over in the dark and I need to keep the noise level down.....lol.
