Mate job wanted for the summer
Not sure where to put this, so i put it here. Looking to get out this summer and mate down the cape. Have a house in Dennis, or i live in mansfield, MA. I am 16 in april, and know my stuff about fishing. All i live for is fishing, and hunting. Rigging, knots, landing/gaffing fish, finding fish, i can do it
Here is a link to my photobucket gallery
http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...ish/?start=all
There are a lot of freshwater and hunting pictures in there as well. Hope this does not turn into spam...just looking for a job.

Hooper,
Can I mate on your boat this summer?
BMJR,
If you are serious and are available everyday I'll talk to a few of my buddies and see whats up. Being only 16 how will you get to the boat? Asking Mom/Dad to get you to the boat early in the morning is a lot to ask your parents. BUT if you are serious see pm.

Still looking... I can live down the cape in Dennis during the summer, so anything close to that would be awsome. Or, i live in mansfield, if anybody who runs charters drives by there on the way to their boat.

That would be more of a last resort for me. I would like to get on a boat that does a lot of tuna and shark. 1-6 person charters. A boat like Raider rons would be awsome

The Helen - H is out of Hyannis. Joe Huck runs a great outfit. If I'm not mistaken Raider Ronnie does his chartering out of Boston Harbor. Another great charter.

Pretty soon the list will expand to three. I'll give you a hint: its a three lettered word that begins with S, ends in X, and has a vowel in between.

Right now, If i live down the cape during the summer my grandfather can drive me in the morning, if its realitivly close to Dennis. My dad goes to work around 530, and may be able to drop me off at the captains house in the morning if it is a later charter.

Tuna trips...last season maybe 10-15. Season before we did about 5.
I drove our boat a lot of the times (24 Wellcraft) and will be driving our new boat (30foot custom cc) a lot of the times. I am good around the boat, getting rods in/out, setting the spread, landing fish, etc..

Buckman,
Anyone who mates has to be enrolled in some drug testing program
like this one
http://www.drugfreevessel.com/
I would 1st suggest doing this and whoever's boat you are looking to mate on, that will look favorable for you.
As for me being mentioned, I'm not sure I'm in need now, but things could change and I will keep you in mind.
If you are down in Dennis, I'm pretty sure there are many options in Bass river or Chatham.

I was in the same position as you several years ago. ( I was a little older though). I just called/ emailed every charter guy I could find (phonebook/ online etc.) and eventually got a taker. You also might want to try the local tackle shops, but be careful they might want you working in the shop. Good Luck.
