Notice one of the 6 bolts is gone, oh well so I take off the first one , snap. The next three ok. The next one snap. Drop the lower unit and notice the other one has snapped , not missing. So I got 3 snapped and 3 out. Got plenty of drills and taps so I drilled out all 3 with a crappy hand drill I have, PIA, but 2 are going to need helicoils, which we have at work thank god. Just another fun thing about owning a boat. I think I waited too long to replace the zinc, every other year I do it, on the motor and the stainless bolts ate into the aluminum lower unit.
Sounds like you need a machinist....
